Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny has signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal Football Club.
The Frenchman who has been in excellent form this season and also formed a formidable partnership with Per Mertesacker has been awarded by his club with a new long term contract
Speaking of his delight after penning down the new deal, the Frenchman said: "I am very proud to have reached agreement with the Club on a new contract. I have enjoyed four great years at Arsenal already, and I look forward to continuing to help the team in the years to come.”
He joins a list of other Arsenal players to have been awarded with new contracts such as Santi Cazorla, Serge Gnabry, Per Mertesacker, Aaron Ramsey, Tomas Rosicky, Wojciech Szczesny and Gedion Zelalem.
Earlier, rumours had surfaced that top European clubs like Real Madrid and Bayern Munich were interested in signing the Arsenal defender but seems like his club acted fast in tying him down to a new long term contract
